Morning/Evening Routine Tips!

It’s August! AND this August is RARE because there are two Supermoons happening on August 1st with the Sturgeon Full Moon in Aquarius, time to let go from someone or something you’ve been clinging to. ✨ Then the Blue Full Moon takes place on August 30th 💫
I am excited to be home the whole month of August and settle into this energy. I feel like I have been traveling since the end of April with Polka Dot plus a 3 week stay in Minnesota helping my mom recover from surgery. I LOVE to travel!! I love meeting new people, seeing new sights and experiencing various regions' culture. Not gonna lie I loved being in CO twice in July with NO HUMIDITY!! AND at the same time there is something about being home and having some normal routine. There is something with routine that grounds me. How about you? I loved to hear any feedback from YOU!

This got me thinking about the routine I have when I travel, my nightly routine. I know some, maybe even most, have a morning routine to start their day off right. Is that you? Not me, I am not a morning person. I wake up and grab my cell, that blue light helps me to fully wake up and gets me to spring into action. Then I am off. There are many benefits to a morning routine:
Prepare yourself for the day
Increase your Productivity
Lower Stress
Form self discipline
Boost energy levels
Improves Confidence
Inspire others around you
All great stuff right? So why can I not do this? Well I have in the past, it was about 8-9 years ago I got up at for a 5 am class!! I did it for a few years and it was good. Then I injured myself and it all fell by the wayside. I probably could if I wished to go back to that now but I don’t wish to. It’s that simple! Instead I have found my time at night! I believe once I was awake I was ready to rock n roll but come bed time, I was still ready to rock n roll. Therefore I started creating my nightly routine to wind me down from all the activity of the day. So again about 8-9 years ago I started with gratitude journaling and as the years have continued added more. Now I need at least a good hour to do my nightly routine!!
What is my routine you ask? Here you go as it stands currently, you never know what I may add next 😂
Stretching - when I started I couldn’t touch my feet now I can place my palms on the floor as I bend over as an example.
Mala Bead chanting and Meditation- this has been very interesting practice that I have been doing consistently for over 1 year when a friend gifted me some beads
Usually I also have some other type of meditation/affirmation/energy activity I do for various programs
Bible verse daily devotional
Gratitude journaling
Oracle card pull
Prayers
And if I am not super tired reading
There you have it! People often ask me how do you stay so consistent to do this every. single. night? Trust me some nights it would have been easy to just jump into bed!! AND I also know myself I am better when I do these in body, mind and spirit. And who knows maybe that is why I can start my day, once I get out of bed, so fast because I did all the things to refuel myself before relaxing into sleep.
So if you have a morning, night or midday routine, GREAT, WAY TO GO! If you don’t maybe explore and test some things out so find your sweet spot that refuels you in body, mind and spirit? ✨
